After meeting his “mother”, The Fool continues his journey and meets his “father”.
The Emperor sits on a throne decorated with shells and trunks. He is dressed in armor rather than fine royal clothing.
You can feel this man’s drive and intensity from the card. He is head strong and even combative when he needs to be. He has given up comfort for discipline sitting on that throne. The throne he sits upon is sturdy. It's not moving.
The Emperor represents ultimate leadership. There was a time where emperors ruled over kings and their kingdoms. And this guy tells you all about it in that look.
@witchbombwillow
But.. this guy looks kind of familiar??.. Yes! That’s Neptune, or as I would refer to him as, Poseidon ☺️
His throne is surrounded by the many trinkets of his station. This tells all that comes before him a bit of who he is, what he commands, and what he expects from others when they ask for his advice.
In his hand he holds a trident as a reminder of his power, as he is master of all four elements.
He controls the weather and the waves, and is always in the process of building up his empire.
But he is more than just a leader. He is also a father-figure of all the merfolk. It’s his responsibility to keep the children safe, protected and secure. Their happiness rests on his shoulders.
He is here to tell The Fool to meet challenges head on. He tells The Fool that challenges are tests of strength and may reveal any weaknesses he possesses. He tells The Fool to get ready and to always be prepared.
His message to The Fool today is "You control your own destiny. Now go forth."
Discipline. Tough Love. Control. He tells The Fool that it is time to step out into the world and live, learn and grow my son.
